While located in the beautiful countryside, it's still easy to reach from Stockholm center. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, and the bed was extra comfy! We especially loved the breakfast buffet made from local organic ingredients.

Set by a fortress from 1735, this waterfront hotel on Värmdö Island offers impressive views of Solöfjärden and the surrounding archipelago. Amazing location overlooking the shipping straight between Värmdö and Rindo. Lovely helpful staff.

This early 1900s property is in Nynäshamn, on Trehörningen Island. It offers spa treatments, panoramic sea views and fine dining. Stockholm city centre is just 45 minutes’ drive away. I left at 6.45 so there were no breakfast.

Set in Stockholm’s beautiful archipelago, first-class hotel and conference centre Fågelbrohus offers a historic setting in Värmdölandet, just a 35 minute drive from the centre of Stockholm. We loved staying here and will come back. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome since the first minute. The room was big with good facilities. The spa with saunas was very nice and the common areas were beautifully decorated. It t was extra charming to be there in December when there was snow and Christmas decorations.

This hotel lies on Stockholm's archipelago coast, 200 metres from Saltsjöbaden Train Station. It offers free WiFi and private parking. The location never stopped surprising us. The artwork in the main building was an unexpected treat. The upstairs bar made me double check what we had actually paid for the stay because the decor and architecture was so luxurious - fit for a queen! The outdoor space with kayaks and bicycles were a lovely optional extra. There were deer in the forest and the sunsets (that last for hours in spring) over the water were incredible. The beds were lovely and floofy and the additional lounge area was wonderful to expand into after our smaller Stockholm hotels. The staff were also super chatty and gave us a lot of their time which we enjoyed immensely. There is also a parking lot outside where we could recharge our rental vehicle with an app to pay for the charge. We had a wonderful time and wish we had stayed there longer. We stayed for 2 nights, checked out and stayed for most of the day at the restaurant over looking the water and chatting.

This countryside hotel is on Värmdö Island, 25 minutes’ drive from Stockholm city centre. Guests can enjoy fine dining, free Wi-Fi and free private parking. The location is beautiful. Quiet, peaceful. Kayaks and swimming right there. Staff is amazing. Breakfast spread is wonderful. Restaurant for dinner has amazing dishes. There are hiking trails across the road. You can take the bus to town if you want to explore or go to a different restaurant.
